I have been travelling alone using Public Transport to Meerut, Ghaziabad and Delhi since 2007. I have perceived the world and its people very closely. The things around me have changed frequently except one which no one can expect to have changed even after a millenium- "POSSESSION OF HUMAN MIND OVER THEIR HEARTS".
Everytime I travel by bus, it often happens that after having travelled a few miles an old person (be it a male or a female) or a mother with her l'il child boards the bus, he/she finds no vacant seat. Not even a single sitting soul is there to get up and offer the seat to either of them. No matter how old that standing person is...How precious the life of that l'il one on the lap of his/her caring but worrying mother is. She staggers....and is likely to fall hither and thither....but always keeps struggling to provide comfort to her l'il one.
My wrathful yet pitiful eyes are accustomed to such almost daily happenings...The present youth has forgotten its responsibility which should rather have been shouldered for the welfare of the society.
"SEATS RESERVED FOR FEMALES" is visible to the present generation, but it soon forgets as to who is to be exactly involved under these "FEMALES"- the Girls or the Mothers carrying their children or the Old Women unable to counter the Inertia in Motion and at Rest. The young girls also try to bank upon it though they should not.
What should ita be called.....SANITY......?? that why should one leave his/her seat for the needy as every one on the seat has paid ticket to travel...!!!! OR should it be called the LACK OF HUMANITY / POSSESSION OF SANITY OVER HUMANITY......??
When I was a new traveller, first I did not understand these human beings and reacted nothing to such situations for a day or two. After that, I decided to initiate to solve this problem as I could not tolerate it having happened in front of my eyes. As soon as an old person or a mother carrying her l'il one boards the bus, my eyes are always stuck to him/her until he/she gets a seat. If no vacant seat is found, and I am sitting far from them, I move towards the next step, i.e., observing the nearby sitting people and waiting for them to leave their respective seats. If no one gets up, I move towards the FINAL STEP, i.e., leaving my own seat for the needy. After this, the whole atmosphere of bus gets changed. People start staring at me. Most often does it happen that soon a gentleman or a young lady leaves his/her seat for me either at the same moment or a few seconds before his/her final destination arrives.
Then I feel that HUMANITY still exists in the hearts of people, but has been possessed by SANITY....
The whole journey gets spent thinking about this only thing.....and soon comes to a halt.....But a question always remains there in my mind at last......."WHO WON finally......HUMANITY or SANITY..!!"

- WHERE HAS THE HUMANITY GOT VANISHED ??
- WHY IS THE PURPOSE OF BEING BLESSED WITH THE LIFE OF A HUMAN BEING FORGOTTEN??
